Cabinet Shop Assistant / Helper

Position Summary:
Support senior cabinet makers in the production process by preparing materials, assisting with assembly, and maintaining the workshop. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to learn cabinetmaking while developing valuable skills in the trade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize materials for cabinet makers
• Assist with measuring, cutting, and assembly tasks
• Sand, clean, and finish cabinet components
• Load and unload materials and finished products
• Maintain inventory of supplies and materials
• Clean and maintain workshop, tools, and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Assist with basic installations when needed

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of woodworking tools and techniques
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to follow instructions carefully
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 120 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous workshop experience a plus but not required
