As a member of our after-hours care team, you will be entrusted with the service of our community and surrounding areas during the hours and days the funeral home is not open. We are looking for an individual with evening and weekend availability, position hours are from 5pm-9am on Monday-Friday, and full availability on Saturday and Sunday. The individual will be on a call rotation every other week, a total of two weeks per month. This person will have a valid driver’s license and cell phone that we will be able to contact them on during their on-call shift. This is an on-call position, meaning the individual will be available during the above stated days and hours and only has to engage when called by our main office for a decedent transfer. Each transfer pays a $75 per-diem that will cover 3 hours, if the individual goes on a call for over 3 hours (it is rare but does happen) $15 an hour will be added per hour to the transfer. If no transfers are made that month, (this is rare as well) the individual will still receive $250 total per-diem for being part of the transfer care team. This position will require the individual to be able to lift and move weight comfortably.
