I just moved back to Hood River to help take care of my mother who suffers from dementia. I have been commuting from Portland on the weekends for the past 6 years to care for her. As things have progressed it’s become necessary to be closer to her full time. I am looking for part time work as a caregiver since that’s what I spend the majority of my time doing.

I am very aware of the gap in care that is available for adults who wish to remain in their homes, but require assistance.

I would love to find a few adults who are in need of errands, meal prep, light house work, and socializing. I know firsthand how expensive “day care” can be, and how crucial staying in one’s own home is to one’s wellbeing and ability to thrive. I would love to be an able to help.
