Little Oak Montessori School is seeking Substitute Teachers to support our Elementary & Preschool classrooms for the 2024-25 school year.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will work closely with our Guides to prepare and maintain a harmonious Montessori environment. You will have opportunities to help observe student behavior and work choices, model grace & courtesy and peaceful social interactions, assist children in the development of their independence, and support and contribute to a warm and calming learning environment.

Duties:
– Assist remaining Guide with daily class schedule to ensure continuity in education
– Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
– Provide student assistance across various subjects and grade levels
– Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
– Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
– Collaborate with school staff to support student learning and well-being

Qualifications:
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents
– Experience working with students in educational settings
– Knowledge of childcare practices and childhood development
– Ability to assist with lesson planning and curriculum delivery
– Proficiency in behavior management techniques
– Experience in tutoring or special education is a plus
– Strong background in math or other subjects commonly taught in schools
