Downtown Hood River law firm, McCarthy Law, is seeking a full-time, long-term legal assistant/paralegal. The legal assistant/paralegal will support the attorney with Oregon and Washington family law, landlord-tenant matters, and debt collection cases. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, drafting legal pleadings under the direction of the attorney, proofreading documents, preparing exhibits, filing pleadings with the court, serving documents, managing deadlines, and communicating with clients, court staff, and other legal offices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be detail-oriented, possess a desire to learn, and demonstrate proficiency with Office 365 and Adobe. Prior legal experience is not required.
