Our dedicated team prides itself on excellent customer service, clinical professionalism, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking a multi-talented Optician who is also comfortable handling front desk responsibilities and insurance verification.

Optical Duties:

• Consult with patients to understand their lifestyle needs, preferences, and prescription requirements to recommend appropriate frame and lens options.
• Educate patients on various lens types, coatings, and features (e.g., anti-reflective, photochromic, progressive lenses, etc.).
• Provide expert guidance on frame shape, size, color, and material to complement the patient’s facial features and style preferences.
• Take accurate optical measurements (PD, seg height, etc.)
• Place and track eyewear orders; notify patients when orders are ready
• Adjust, fit, and repair eyewear as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized optical display area
• Verify vision insurance benefits before appointments and for walk-in patients
• Obtain authorizations and eligibility for services
• Help patients understand their benefits and out-of-pocket costs

Reception Duties:

• Greet patients warmly and check them in/out efficiently
• Schedule appointments and accurately enter personal and insurance information into the EHR system
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
• Collect co-pays and process payments accurately
